New touch screen monitor consumes less power

TouchSystems announces the addition of a new eco-friendly, high-performance W2 22-in. integrated touch screen monitor to its product line. This highly responsive, widescreen, interactive monitor features innovative components that lower the total cost of ownership, save energy, and track carbon footprint emissions.

Packed with features promoting environmental consciousness, the new monitor makes it easy for any company to “go green.” This Energy Star 5.0-compliant display reduces electrical costs and lowers the total cost of ownership by consuming 50% less power than conventional LCD displays. Working to reduce its own carbon footprint, this monitor is made of ecological materials such as recycled plastic, contains half the amount of mercury compared to traditional LCD monitors, and tracks the conservation of green gas emissions with its carbon footprint meter. Other green features include an ECO Mode, Intelligent Power Manager (IPM), and an off timer for further energy savings.

Equipped with resistive touch technology, this touch screen features quick, accurate, and dependable response times and delivers lifelike, high-speed, full-motion video. Its widescreen display enables users to work simultaneously in multiple, side-by-side application windows while providing some of the widest viewing angles available, and its ergonomic four-way adjustable stand adds flexibility and comfort.
