Microinverter gets bigger distribution channel

National Semiconductor is expanding the global distribution network for its SolarMagic power optimizers. The company has added 18 distribution partners, and now has sales and service availability on four continents. SolarMagic helps users get the most from installed solar panels, especially in situations with limited sun exposure or small surface areas for fitting panels. The added flexibility in design that the optimizers offer means that solar energy can be a more viable option in most regions in Asia, the Americas, and Europe.

“SolarMagic provides solar installers and homeowners worldwide with a solution to the real-world conditions, such as shade and panel mismatch, that threaten PV system performance and reliability,” said National’s Global Sales and Services Manager Aaron Thurlow. “Our network of respected global partners will help us meet the growing demand for SolarMagic through the continued expansion of our distribution channels.” For more information on National’s SolarMagic distributor and installer network, please visit
