The DS1318 is a 44-bit binary, elapsed-time counter with 244-µs resolution. It combines a 32-bit seconds counter, a 12-bit subseconds counter, periodic interrupt/alarm, and programmable square-wave output in a 24-pin TSSOP package. The elapsed-time counter's 44-bit binary counter increments once every 244 µs. By using a software algorithm, the DS1318 can derive time of day, week, month and year, thereby serving as a real-time clock.

The LTC4411 low-loss Power Path controller controls an integrated P-channel MOSFET to create a near-ideal diode function for power switchover or load sharing. When conducting, the voltage drop across the MOSFET is as low as 28 mV — as much as 10 times less than a comparable Schottky diode. Protection features include current limiting, thermal protection and reverse-current detection for input supply protection. A logic-level input pin simplifies microcontroller interfacing, and an open-drain status pin indicates the conduction status of the LTC4411. It operates from 2.6-V to 5.5-V supplies and is housed in a SOT-23 package.

Pb-Free Resistor Components
These lead-free compatible thick-film chip resistor components are for customers transitioning to lead-free circuit assembly. They feature lead-free end-terminal metallizations designed for compatibility with all available lead-free alloys and flux systems. The first group of products with lead-free terminations includes RCI-2512S, RCI-2512T, RCI-2010S and RCI-1206T, as well as RCI-0805S and RCI-0805T. Other sizes, including RCI-0201, will soon be available in lead-free configurations.

Based on the presence of the power sources and the state of the batteries, it selects one of the two batteries or an ac adapter for power.
