Dual-Channel LDO

The LX8816 dual-channel low dropout regulator (LDO) provides two outputs of up to 1A, independently regulated typically ±1% of specified values. One output channel is at a fixed voltage and one is adjustable. It consumes minimal ground current and directs quiescent current to the load. A bipolar output transistor provides low dropout voltage even at full output current. Typical dropout is 1.2V at 1A and 1.1V at 500mA. Supply voltage is from 4.3V to 10V.

Toroidal Cores

The “O”-Core uses silicon steel strip, gradually pointed towards the end, replacing the constant width strip used in traditional toroidal transformer cores. Available in standard sizes for power ratings from 20VA to 1200VA, 50-60Hz operation, O-cores can also be customized. There is a full 15% savings over a rectangular cross section with a 1:2 side-to-height ratio, the most common core shape of toroidal power transformers. Because O-cores are more difficult to manufacture with higher scrap losses, the price will typically be 20% higher than the traditional toroidal core.
