Exar Corporation Acquires Cadeka Microcircuits to Enter Precision Analog Market

Cadeka Microcircuits, who develop precision analog integrated circuits for use in industrial applications, has been acquired by Exar Corporation, a provider of high-performance analog mixed-signal products and data management solutions. The $29 million buy-out, a combination of cash and stock, closed Friday, July 5, 2013.

Exar hopes that gaining Cadeka’s portfolio of precision operational amplifiers, instrumentation amplifiers, comparators, and filters and data converter products will help them compete in the medical electronics, aerospace, test and measurement, surveillance, and industrial control markets.
