Port Connects Any Serial Device To Ethernet LAN

June 1, 2001

Designed to connect any serial device, such as RS-232 equipment, to Ethernet TCP/IP, Internet or Intranet network, the Xcell single serial port server provides the network access without requiring any customization or programming. Instead, the necessary configuration is done over the serial interface with an ASCII terminal or dynamically with RARP and Telnet RFC 2217. The Xcell 11 serial port can connect any terminal, access controller, tooling machine, alarm system, printer, modem, or anything with a serial line directly to an Ethernet LAN. The port is available in four versions to accommodate various application and protocol requirements: Telnet Server, TCP Server, TCP Client, and UDP Client/Server. Price: $210.
