Concurrent Technologies launched its PMC-based, dualchannel Ultra320 SCSI controller, which is capable of SCSI synchronous data-transfer rates of up to 320 Mbytes/s. The SC PMC/320 offers two independent Ultra320 SCSI channels by using the LSI Logic 53C1030 Ultra320 SCSI controller. For increased data protection, the SC PMC/320 supports boot volume mirroring (RAID 1 and RAID 1E). Also, it supports data striping (RAID 0) for greater performance.

Because it can handle a range of operating systems, the SC PMC/320 suits intensive datastorage applications. These include database server systems, distributed computing, digital rendering, video-on-demand, or image/signal processing.
