Gigabit Transformers Are Space Efficient

Nov. 1, 1999

Designed for high-port density applications, the width of the H5008 and H5009 gigabit magnetic modules allows them to fit directly behind a standard RJ-45 connector. The modules required less area on the board layout and provide better electrical performance due to the shorter distance to the RJ-45 connectors. The design provides voltage isolation for user safety and impedance matching for maximum power transfer. The modules are designed for routers, switches, repeaters, servers and network interface cards operating over traditional copper-based networks.
