Aimed at continuous-duty applications such as packaging, printing, textile and paper converting, the Micron CD helical servo gearhead is heralded as being the lowest-heat generating gearhead on the market. Offered as part of the company's UltraTRUE line of gearheads, this component can run up to 1.5 times faster than standard input speeds with 98.5% mesh efficiency and a greater than 25,000-hour service life.
The gearing design features a post-heat treatment flank finishing process, said to reduce sliding contact in the gear mesh. The gearhead is available in six sizes of 6, 7.5, 100, 140, 180 and 220 mm with ratios from 4:1 to 100:1.
