Lambda Upgrades with New Facilities

Lambda, San Diego, Calif., has moved their Melville, NY complex to a new facility in Plainview, NY. Operations at the modern 27,000 sq ft design center will focus on custom power solutions with manufacturing processes including machining and transformer prototyping, SMT and thruhole capabilities, along with automated testing equipment and burn-in capabilities. In addition, Lambda’s advanced Design Verification Lab (DVL) is operating in Plainview, providing the latest in electronic component verification services. The DVL can provide 17,500 placements per hour with 2/S SMT capability and 8+1 head placement technology.

“I am very proud of our new Plainview facility, as it represents our continuing commitment to being a progressive, customer-focused organization,” said Don Naab, President. “Our goal is to be a strategic partner to our customers while maintaining the position of technology leader in the custom power-supply industry.”

Naab explained that the building design facilitates efficient movement from one stage of product development to the next. The technology flow highlights Lambda’s ability to integrate advanced design and manufacturing methodology to produce a superior power supply that meets individual customer needs.
